Mission Statement

The PRIMED Education Consulting LLC’s mission is to strategically prepare, guide and empower students on their educational and career journeys by equipping them with the skills, knowledge and self-assurance needed to thrive in the workforce.  We will achieve this through strategic partnerships, research-based enrichment programming and a commitment to customizing each student’s preparation, training and experiences to ensure a purposeful career trajectory.

At PRIMED Education Consulting, we provide a structured pathway for youth personal and career development by connecting education (what they know), exposure (who they know), and experience (what they do), enabling students to build a self-determined, sustainable and strategic career trajectory.

Our People

Dr. Linda D. Blakley is an education consultant and experienced higher education professional committed to ameliorating secondary and college students’ academic performance and career outlook by utilizing her student induction framework. Dr. Blakley is experienced in program evaluation and curriculum development with a current focus on designing career-based youth enrichment programs. She is particularly skilled in interpreting data into mission-centered plans and programs that increase retention and student success, strengthen accreditation readiness, and expand access to strategic career planning for underserved students.  PRIMED Education Consulting LLC was established to address the current gaps in strategic youth career planning and development while concurrently addressing workforce shortages in healthcare and skilled trades.

Dr. Blakley’s P.R.I.M.E.D. (Prepared-Ready-Informed-Motivated-Equipped-Driven) framework utilizes the process of induction to ensure students adjust and thrive in new academic and career development settings.  She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Xavier University of Louisiana.  She also obtained Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Education (Curriculum & Instruction) from the University of New Orleans.

PRIMED Framework

FRAMEWORK DEFINED

Induction matters. Researchers affirm the utility of implementing induction programs for new teachers to aid in their overall adjustment to the teaching profession and their new school environment.  These programs are designed to help novice teachers “learn the ropes”, understand and adjust to school norms, improve teaching practices and ultimately, increase student achievement.  A significant number of beginning teachers leave the profession within three years of practice; therefore, induction programs are designed to support and guide them during the transition into their first teaching positions.

Student Induction matters more!  PRIMED Education Consulting LLC asserts that the process of induction can also be just as effective for students as it is for new teachers.  Here’s How!  Secondary school students experience significant educational changes when they transition from Elementary School to Middle School <and> from Middle School to High School. Like new teachers, these students require support and guidance to ease their transition into new school environments.  Establishing an induction process for secondary students will expose them to the school culture, climate and values; thereby better preparing students for school success, life challenges and ultimately, the workforce.

At PRIMED Education Consulting, we provide a structured pathway for youth personal and career development by connecting education (what they know), exposure (who they know), and experience (what they do), enabling students to build a self-determined, sustainable and strategic career trajectory.

What is the PRIMED Framework?

P.R.I.M.E.D. (Prepared – Ready – Informed – Motivated – Equipped – Driven) is an induction-based academic and career development model designed to prepare students for success in school and in the workforce.  PRIMED is a comprehensive and strategic approach to student success and career development.  The framework is designed to facilitate a seamless and supportive transition for new students into academic and workforce environments. The strategy behind PRIMED is grounded in preparing students for academic success, providing mentorship and guidance, fostering social and cultural assimilation, and encouraging personal development and strategic decision making.
